Rumpus Room Dance was recognized as one of Dance Magazine's 25 to Watch in January 2010.

As a Juilliard School alumnus Rachel was delighted with the opportunity to choreograph a senior solo for Julia Stiefel, a very talented Juilliard student and recent graduate. Rachel created the solo Falling to Sound in December at the Portland Ballet studios. The work premiered successfully as part of the Senior Showcase at the Peter Jay Sharp Theater at Lincoln Center in New York City in May.

Rachel has been working with Sweden's flagship contemporary dance company the Cullberg Ballet since August 2008. She has toured with the company performing throughout Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Slovenia, Serbia, Germany, and China. Her position at Cullberg Ballet has given her the unique opportunity to expand her vocabulary and experience as a dancer and creator. She looks forward to sharing this experience through continued teaching, creating, and performing in Portland.
